Shipping Information
Please allow 2-3 weeks for us to complete your custom order. Please keep in mind - I work a "real" job for a living, and my work commitments and family come first. If you need your order sooner or by a certain deadline, please email us with specifications. Depending on the time of year, we do our best to work with your deadlines. Rush is available to move your order up on our to-do list.
With our online business growing and real work obligations, we try to ship within 10 days. Our busiest months are May, November and December. During those months, orders can take 3 weeks or more. This is due to the influx of orders during those months, as well as our busy Christmas show schedule.
We will have everything ordered online by December 15 shipped before December 21. December 15 is our cut-off date if we have the product in stock. December 8 is the cut-off for Christmas paint jobs. We do not recommend waiting until the last minute, as supplies and stock are getting lower on certain items.
If you really need an item by a certain date, we suggest you pay the rush production fees to bump your order up. Always email me if you need a specific date to make sure the items are in stock and we really do our best to get it to you on time!
We've found that our prices are so reasonable, most do not mind paying the rush fees if it's really needed. And, to be honest, we have not been completely caught up since we launched the site in November 08. Chances are, there's several orders in front of yours.
Always email Penny (penny@daisymaes.net) to see if this is available on your item! If we are not able to rush, we will refund the rush fees and notify you of the reason. (Example - out of stock or out of town.)
PS...we get tons of email asking about where we get things and our equipment. We don't give out that information. I will say we use an actual cutter, not a cricut. As I have politely told folks in the past, I can't imagine Wal-mart calls up Target and says, "Oh, by the way, we got this from this supplier, ask for Mary and she'll take care of you". Sorry folks, not trying to be rude, just protecting myself and my hours spent finding sources.

For most decal items, rush turnaround is 24 hours. For canvas, rush is 2-3 days. The below pricing is for expediting the creating process only, not expedited shipping.

We work on orders after our day jobs and in-between other commitments on the weekends.
Please allow for longer production periods during the peak selling seasons.
We prefer all orders to be placed through our website. We use Paypal only for payment methods. If you do decide you would rather mail a check, please notify us first. Print off the order portion of the site with your completed information. We will wait until the check has cleared completely to process your order (usually an additional 10 days).
All orders are shipped USPS Priority Mail or USPS parcel post. My hubby is a mailman, so we support the USPS.
Pickups and delivery are available (at our convenience) for the Columbus, Mississippi, Tuscaloosa/Hillcrest/Reform/Gordo and Florence, Alabama markets.
We've had to add charges on top of a few of the larger items on the website. We were loosing money on shipping!

For expedited rush creation, see our rush fees. Always email us to check our schedule. To also rush shipment, we will need you to approve the additional costs VIA a Paypal email. We prefer to use Express Overnight Mail with the USPS for expedited shipments.
We not have access to your credit card number to receive additional payment. You will be notified by email with Paypal if additional funds are required.

Answers to Questions
How to enter monograms:
Enter monograms in the order they will appear. First Initial, Last Name Initial, Middle or Maiden Initial.
Most folks know this method, but just in case. If your name is Penny Elizabeth Mansell, enter the monogram as PME, or pMe.
The entered order is the order monograms will be produced. We do not rearrange letters. Let me repeat, we do NOT rearrange letters.
Another example - Ashley Caroline Sparks would be ASC - DO NOT ENTER ACS. We've found that this method reduces the confusion for our customers and when we personalize. If you are still unsure, enter the full name in the comments section.
How to care for acrylics or serving pieces with decals:
First, congratulations on your new piece! Acrylic serving pieces have the decal on the outer layer so the piece remains food safe. Acrylics are not dishwasher safe, so please do not put pieces in the dishwasher. Hand wash all items. Decals on serving pieces can get wet as part of the cleaning process. We advise folks to use water and just a smidgen of soap to clean. Use your best judgment, and treat the decal as if it was a hand painted area. (Basically, don't scrub or use harsh cleansers.) Use a small amount of a window cleaner to keep your acrylics shiny.
We put our iced tea glasses in the dishwasher with no problems. It's the acrylic that is not dishwasher safe, not the decal.
How do I apply my decal to my car or other surface?
• Clean your application with window cleaner, soap and water or rubbing alcohol. Allow area to dry completely.
• Separate the clear transfer tape from the white paper backing bottom slowly. Make sure the decal is completely adhered to the transfer tape.
• Hold the decal so the sticky side is facing the application surface. (Window or phone, etc.) Looking through the clear transfer tape, place the bottom one half on the window. Slowly squeegee (using a credit card) the decal with an upward stroke to squeeze out any air bubbles as you apply. Once decal is applied on surface, use your credit card as a squeegee to squeeze out any remaining air bubbles.
• Slowly and gently peel off the top clear transfer tape, checking to make sure all decal pieces stick to the surface. If any part of the decal begins to peel off with the paper, press the application tape and decal back to the surface, and squeegee/use your credit card again. Decals work by heat and pressure causing the decal to stick. Use your hand or credit card to make sure all edges are attached. When application is complete, do not wash or clean the area for 24 hours, allowing the decal to set.
• Our decals are 4-year outdoor vinyl. However, under harsh weather conditions, decals may not last that length in the outdoors.
• To remove decal: Use a razor blade to gently remove off glass surfaces. (Do not use a razor blade on surfaces that will scratch, such as your phone.) Then use a goo-gone type product to remove the stickiness, or a really strong alcohol. Clean area with window cleaner.
How long will my decal last?
With proper care, decals can last for years. We use a 4-6 year outdoor vinyl, so they are safe under the elements. Some items that get heavy handling and use - such as cell phone monograms, key chains, or clipboards will wear faster than a car monogram that is never handled after application. Don't pick at the edges, because decal is removable with help. We do not recommend you remove decal or pick at decal on acrylic items - the decal adheres well to the acrylics, and leaves a sticky mess when you try to remove.
How to remove my car monogram or decal?
Try first to pick at the edges. If it's on glass (NOT acrylics or items that scratch) the decal can be removed with a flat edge razor blade. Then, a little sticky remover, such as OOPS, will take the adhesive off. OOPS can be found just about everywhere. It will not come off of Acrylics easily, or without damaging the acrylic. Acrylics permanently set.
Need to know more about our custom canvas?
We love painting custom orders, just remember to give us plenty of time. All canvas is 3/4 inch quality gallery wrap canvas, stapled on the back so the staples are not shown. We do have some thicker 1.5" frame that is really nice, but is also a bit pricer. We use kid-safe acrylic paints. Coordinating ribbon comes with the canvas at no extra charge, so it's ready to hang. (On larger pieces, we recommend you hang the canvas from the frame, then tack the ribbon up for decoration.)
All canvas can be customized to your bedding and colors. Most canvas are the stock pricing, no matter the concept. Occasionally the concept will require a slight up charge because of the amount of time. Typically, the cost is just the straight cost.
I have my own cutesy font style, depending on the age, gender and style of the painting.
Some of my best work is from color fabric swatches and the freedom to "create" something cute.
We can get other size canvases and other thicknesses, some we may even have in stock. Just ask.

Please note, several fonts are not available to cut under 5" because the fonts become too thin and will not cut. They are noted on the font sheet.

The colors are a little more difficult to tell on a computer. All monitors display colors slightly different.
Refunds and Cancellations

Since all our items are custom made for you, our return policy is straightforward.
Returns and Refunds are not available on orders (Painting, decal, personalized, monogrammed or engraved). Please keep in mind that all orders are custom made and may vary slightly from piece to piece. We do our best to give you the look of the SUPER expensive stores at a way lower cost.
Cancellations or changes are only available if production has not started on your item.
You must notify us within 3 days of receiving the items that Daisymaes made errors. We do not issue refunds or credits on shipping charges.
If we make a mistake on an item, we will gladly exchange the gift for you with the same item or store credit. Since our items are all personalized and created just for you, refunding money is not an option.
If you make a mistake, the item is yours to keep. Please be confident before you make your purchase and make sure your monograms are entered correctly. Always email us if you have any questions. Ask now so you don't regret your purchase later!
We do our best to ask you any questions necessary before we complete your orders if it pops up a red flag that it could be a mistake. (Like picking font 1 for a full name if it comes up as the default. Sometimes we will make the change if we don't hear back from you.) Not everything catches our attention, though, particularly if the monograms were entered incorrectly. We have no way of knowing that information, so just ask if you have any questions!
We do decal on acrylics, not engraving. If you pick none for the font color, we will do black as default.

Daisymaes reserves the right to deviate from this policy and help a customer if - and only if - a customer is extremely polite, kind, pleasant and uses old fashioned manners. Anything Daisymaes does to help is not required as per the above policy, and should be treated as such.
Do not return products back to us for refund. Items may only be returned with our approval and a RMA (Returned Merchandise Approval). Returning merchandise DOES NOT mean you will be refunded. Always contact us first.
The policy sounds harsh, but 99% of top sites who offer items similar to us use this same policy.
Alabama taxes apply to all orders within the state. Tuscaloosa taxes apply if you are in the area.
