Hi! I'm so glad to finally have Daisymaes on-line - NOW with E commerce! Somebody needs to get me for taking on just one more thing, but I just can't help it!
This has been such an unbelievable journey, and I cannot wait to see what else is in store!
This all took off in the spring of 2005 when I painted a shower gift for a close buddy's new bundle of joy. I had such an overwhelming reaction for what I thought all folks could do, that a friend convinced me we should open up a summer store at a kiosk in the mall. This small kiosk in Tuscaloosa, Alabama led to tons of late nights painting. After the summer gig was up, I began doing many arts and craft shows and Junior League shows around the area. The response has been enormous - I am looking forward to see what's around the next corner!
I'm a born and raised Mississippi Southern Girl, which is fabulous! In the south cutesy never goes out of style! Plus, we HAVE to have our monogram or name on everything! Don't you agree?
I'm originally from New Hope, Mississippi. After high school,I graduated with my BS in Communications/Public Relations from Mississippi University for Women (FABULOUS school, look it up!). I went back the next year for an Elementary Education degree. (I wanted to be just like my Mama, imagine that!) I've spent the past several years working full-time in marketing/graphic design in the hardware manufacturing industry. It's been fun having a cutesy creative outlet on the side from the real work in such a manly field! I think that is why I go CRAZY with polka-dots and hot pink from time to time!
On March 25, 2006, I married my sweetheart, John. (A good ol' southern Gordo boy, just like my granny married 65 years ago!)

Right now we're ridiculously crazy about our spoiled rotten mutt named Clarence.

I've been fortunate enough to be blessed with such an awesome network of family, who continue to wow me with their generosity. Not to mention all my friends who work for free during 98 degree temperatures outdoors in the Mississippi heat! My life is completely surrounded by my own cheering section. I'm not crazy. I KNOW I really could not do this with out them, and I will never be able to thank them enough for helping me succeed.
Back to business.... Please, do not hesitate to contact me with any questions. I look forward to working with you on many projects to come!
